Latvian flutist Kristīne Beitika comes from a musical family, which nurtured her passion for music from an early age. She is dedicated to exploring new approaches to music and the arts, continually seeking innovative ways to engage with audiences. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, an ensemble renowned for its boundary-pushing performances, including playing entire programmes from memory and reimagining traditional orchestral staging.
Beitika has performed extensively across Europe and beyond, appearing at prestigious venues such as the Philharmonie Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Herkules Hall in Munich, Dubai Opera, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, the Mariinsky Theatre, Wiener Konzerthaus, and DR Koncerthuset, among many others. She mostly performs in symphonic orchestras and chamber ensembles.
She studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (KCB) with Carlos Bruneel and Frank Hendrickx, Maastricht Academy of Music with Philippe Benoit and Valerie Debaele, and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with Mihkel Peäske. Throughout her studies, she received several scholarships from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and was selected for the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra Academy during the 2014/2015 season, where she performed under Maestro Neeme Järvi.
Beitika has participated in masterclasses with distinguished flutists, including Emily Beynon, Kerstin McCall, Anne-Catherine Heinzmann, Dejan Gavric, Anna Garzuly, Gaby Pas van Riet, William Bennett, Samuel Coles, Karin Bonelli, Daniela Troiani, Barbara Gisler-Haase, among many others.
As an active chamber musician, she is a member of ReveR Ensemble, Trio Phos, and the flute quartet Sonesia. With ReveR Ensemble, she was selected to participate in the ARD Music Competition in Munich in September 2024.. In addition to her ensemble work, she was the principal flute of the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra in the summer of 2017, performing in the Netherlands, Germany, and Luxembourg under the baton of Jan Cober.
Beitika has performed at many renowned international festivals, including Kissinger Sommer, Enescu Festival, Ljubljana Festival, Aurora Festival, Usedomer Musikfestival, Young Euro Classics, Südtirol Festival Merano, Rheingau Musik Festival, Pärnu Music Festival, the Hong Kong Arts Festival among others.
She continues to explore new artistic possibilities, bringing a fresh perspective, and forging meaningful connections with audiences worldwide.
